For riders

How a ride works.

  1. 1

    Tell us where you're going

Ferit works out a recommended fare from the road distance and today's fuel cost, and shows you a fair range around it.

  2. 2

    Make your offer

Offer any price inside that range. The total you'll pay, including the booking fee, is shown before you confirm.

  3. 3

    Choose your driver

Nearby drivers accept your offer or counter it. You see who they are and what they drive, and you pick.

  4. 4

    Ride and pay

Chat or call your driver in the app before pickup. At the end, pay by card or bank transfer in the app, or in cash.

For drivers

Keep the full fare. Pay a flat subscription.

Ferit doesn't take a percentage of your trips. You keep 100% of the fare you agreed and every tip. Instead, you pay a simple subscription to use the app.

What you'll need

  • A valid driver's licence in your name — we check it against official records
  • Your vehicle documents and plate number, reviewed by our team
  • A Nigerian bank account in the same name as your licence, for your payouts

How you get paid

When a rider pays by card or transfer, the fare and tip are sent to your bank account once the payment is confirmed. On cash rides the rider pays you directly.

Safety

How our checks actually work.

  • Licence checked before anyone drives

A driver's licence is looked up against official records. Expired licences are refused, and one licence can only belong to one Ferit driver account.

  • Vehicle reviewed by a person

Drivers upload their vehicle documents and plate number, and our team reviews them. Nobody can go online until they're approved.

  • Talk in the app

Message or call your driver inside Ferit before pickup, so you don't have to share your phone number.

  • Block and report

Block anyone you don't want to ride with again — you'll never be matched. Report a message and our team reviews it.

  • Live trip sharing

Share a ride link with someone you trust so they can follow your trip in real time.

Why we're building Ferit

Fair for the rider. Fair for the driver.

Many drivers lose a large share of every trip to commission, and many riders face prices that jump without warning. We think both sides deserve better: a price you can see and agree to, and a driver who keeps what they earn.

We're starting in Abuja so we can get it right in one city first, with drivers and riders we can talk to directly. Lagos and Port Harcourt come after a successful launch in Abuja.

“We're building Ferit in Abuja for the people who use it every day. If you join the waitlist, you'll hear from us directly — and you can reply. We read every message.”
